Employmentification initiated.

Starting tomorrow, I'll be a paid canvasser for a grassroots campaign against the Bush administration's plan to drop the roadless rule. Not my ideal job, but it's a paycheck and it's (I believe) a good cause. My work day will be 1pm–10pm, and the pay is about $300/wk (I say "about" because there's various incentive bonuses, and also a minimum if you don't make quota).

I'm nervous, but I'm also looking forward to it.

What's the roadless rule?

Are you coming by my apartment!? ;)

It's a Clinton-era rule against building new roads in wilderness areas that don't already have them.

And it depends on the route they give me. Maybe! ;)

Yes, good luck. There are too many roads already.
