My top artists, according to Last.FM:

Last.FM drives me crazy; can't get it to work the way I think it's supposed to. Or maybe I just don't understand it, not that I've really spent a lot of time trying to figure it out. Either way, I let it do its scrobbling thing on my desktop, just to see what the artist profiles that come up, and once in a while listen to the radio station it creates for me.

But I keep thinking there should be more to it...

I dunno, what are you trying to make it do?

That thing has some weird ideas about what artists sound alike. I mean, yeah - Queen, Styx, Boston, and REO Speedwagon are pretty similar (and I like 'em all), but that doesn't explain why they're on a station called "Similar Music to Jim Croce."

It's not really about sounding alike, it's about being played often by the same listeners. So, basically, Last.FM has found that among its users, those who play a lot of Jim Croce also tend to play a lot of the aforementioned bands.
