Snakes on a poster
Entertainment Weekly's site has the poster for Snakes On A Plane. Inspired by some Internet fan creations, no less!

I'm sorry, I missed the boat.

What the hell is "Snakes on a Plane" anyway?

See my previous posts here and here.

It's a movie about a federal agent trying to protect a witness on a transpacific flight. An assassin sneaks a box full of poisonous snakes on board the plane and lets them loose. Basically, it sounds so asstardedly stupid that it comes out the other end and becomes pure genius. It is the unofficial official movie of teh Intarwebs.

I've seen that on a magazine. It looks very cool.

''We rooted it in the caduceus,'' says New Line creative exec Laura Carrillo, of the logo's resemblance to the medical icon. ''We thought, Let's do our modern twist on this thing.''

Now you see, that's why I'm really going to love this movie. It has a real respect for what came before. I'll be all "Yep, that there is a subtle and nuanced allusion both to the ancient art of medicine as well as the book of Exodus and how Moses and Aaron brought their people to safety after roaming in a desert for 40 years" each and every time Samuel Jackson tasers a snake in the face.
